Associate Membership

What is Associate Membership?

Anyone in our local community can apply to join the Library as an Associate Member, providing they can meet one of the criteria below.

Associate Membership provides annual access. Our day visitor scheme may be more suitable for short term access, and those studying at other higher education institutions should apply using SCONUL.

How much does it cost?

Membership and reference-only use of the Library is free, but there are charges for borrowing books for certain groups:

Qualified teachers working in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Scarborough and the surrounding area.

Members of administrative staff of the local education authorities of these areas, or an Inspector of Schools based in those areas.
