Summary

Andy is an ecologist with a particular interest in freshwater fish.

His early career focused on larval and juvenile fish ecology, but he has subsequently broadened the scope of his research to cover various aspects of ecology, conservation, climate change, alien species, habitat restoration and resource management in aquatic ecosystems. He is also interested in moths, including leaf-mining larvae.

Andy is an applied ecologist and has produced almost 200 technical and advisory reports to government agencies and industry, aiming to understand and manage issues in aquatic environments.
