Faith and religion

We want you to know that your faith matters to us.

We hope that you will feel valued and respected here at the University of Hull, and we want to make sure that spiritual support and facilities are available to you should you need them.

Facilities
  • A Christian chapel is situated below the Arts Café in Middleton Hall. Chaplains hold services and groups throughout the week and it is also used regularly by the chapel choir.
  • A prayer room facility is available for registered students and staff. It is open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm.
  • A Muslim prayer room is available in Unit 4C on the Newland Science Park (opposite to The Courtyard accommodation).

Chaplaincy team

The Chaplaincy team is a voluntary group made up of local and regional faith leaders, all bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to broaden the pastoral support we are able to offer.

They provide a place of welcome and support to all students and staff of any faith or belief system, and offer physical and emotional space to chat, reflect and, if appropriate, pray.
