Claire Carr

Claire is Director of UK Recruitment at Hull University Business School, focusing on the undergraduate portfolio. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management and Business Educator, and a member of the British Academy of Management.

She specialises in learning and development, championing Authentic Business Learning through real client engagement in the classroom.

Over nearly 20 years, Claire has worked with universities, colleges and training providers, leading the delivery of ILM, CMI (as a Chartered Manager), CIM, CIPD and MBA programmes, and supervising dissertations and work-based projects.

She has consulted for organisations of all sizes, with a particular interest in the public and third sectors. Claire mentors early career academics, serves as a DARTE reviewer for Advance HE, and is a steering group member of the Hull University Pedagogy Society, where she undertakes pedagogic research.
