Claire Carr

Claire is Director of UK Recruitment at Hull University Business School, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management and Business Educator accredited by the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and a member of the British Academy of Management. She specialises in learning and development and champions Authentic Business Learning, using real clients in classroom settings to support knowledge exchange.

Claire brings extensive experience from a previous career in international sales within the education sector. Since joining Hull University Business School in 2016, she has led learning and development initiatives and delivers Chartered Management Institute (CMI) modules as a Chartered Manager.

She has worked extensively with universities, colleges, and training providers, contributing to the development and delivery of Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) programmes and MBA courses. Claire currently leads the undergraduate portfolio and serves as a DARTE reviewer for Advance HE, supporting teaching excellence across the sector.
