About Dr Ahmed Saoudy
Having completed his PhD in Marketing at Hull University Business School (HUBS) in 2022, Ahmed continued his academic journey at the School, where he now serves as a Lecturer in Marketing.
At HUBS, he is Programme Director for the BA (Hons) Marketing and Management, having previously directed the MSc Marketing Management and MSc Digital Marketing & Advertising programmes. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, delivering modules in Service Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, and Digital Marketing. Ahmed also serves as the Academic Contact for Hull’s Dual Degree in Marketing with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), overseeing academic coordination, quality assurance, and curriculum alignment between the two institutions.
Ahmed is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His research explores consumer behaviour, digital marketing, and tourism, with publications in leading journals such as the European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Tourism Research, and Global Business Review. His current work investigates the role of artificial intelligence and digital engagement in shaping marketing ethics and consumer experience.
His wider research interests lie at the intersection of consumer psychology, identity, and technology, with ongoing projects examining digital humanism, AI-generated advertising, and rhizomatic identity formation in entrepreneurship and tourism.
