About Jenny Dagg

Jenny is a lecturer in the School of Psychology and Social Work. Jenny qualified from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside with a Diploma in Social Work in 2000. She gained her postgraduate Social Work Practice Educator qualification in 2017. She also holds a BA in Economics (1986) and an MA in Development Economics (1987).

Jenny has longstanding experience in teaching social work to apprenticeship, undergraduate, postgraduate and post-qualifying students as well as programme leadership. She teaches on all the School’s social work programmes. Her specialisms include practice-based learning and social work with children and families.

Jenny’s professional experience prior to entering academic teaching, is founded in the voluntary sector, where she provided advocacy for children and young people in care, and at the edge of care; and supported and promoted children’s and young people’s participation.

Jenny is a Fellow of the HEA and a Registered Social Worker.
