About Dimple Lala

Dimple is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Research at the University of Hull. She joined the University of Hull in April 2025, having previously worked as a Research Assistant on a project exploring digital interventions to support parents of children awaiting Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). She holds an MSc in Mental Health Studies with Distinction from King's College London, where her dissertation examined the prevalence and severity of neuropsychiatric symptoms in individuals with mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease, comparing differences by sex and disease stage.

Dimple's research focuses on cognitive impairment, alcohol use disorder, and the use of digital technologies and wearable devices to improve mental health research and care. Her current work contributes to research aimed at improving the identification, assessment, and care of people experiencing alcohol-related cognitive impairment (ARCI), including evidence synthesis, prevalence research, and the evaluation of novel technologies for alcohol monitoring.
