Dr Claudia Myler

Claudia is a Clinical Psychologist and currently works as an Academic Tutor & Research Tutor on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate programme. Her role is to deliver, support and facilitate teaching related to clinical and research practice on the programme and also provides research supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Claudia qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2017 after completing the Hull ClinPsyD training programme, and has experience working in local health psychology services including psychological medicine, major trauma, and persistent pain services. Most recently Claudia has worked in a Staff Support Psychology role in the local hospital Trust, providing assessment, formulation, evidence-based interventions to open to all members of staff across the hospital sites. The role also included provision of training, reflective practice, and psychological debriefing to teams and Trust wide with a focus on preventing, recognising and managing psychological distress of all levels of severity.

Claudia trained as an EMDR therapist in 2023 and is currently working towards accreditation, and also has an interest in using compassion-focused and trauma informed models with clients, groups and staff teams.
