About Dhionis Llanaj

Dhionis Llanaj is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Medicine, Tirana (Albania), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds (UK).

He began his career as a Registered Nurse working in intensive care settings before moving into healthcare education as a Clinical Educator in West Yorkshire. In this role, he supported healthcare students in developing their clinical practice skills and facilitated learning within a variety of healthcare environments.

He subsequently joined the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (NHS) as a Quality Lead, where he was responsible for overseeing quality improvement and assurance across a broad portfolio of services. His areas of responsibility included care homes, domiciliary care, and community care beds. He worked closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and partner organisations to support service quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement across the health and social care system.
