EEI Webinars on Postgraduate Opportunities

March 2021

The University of Hull’s Energy and Environment Institute invites you to a series of webinars on Masters level training and funded postgraduate research opportunities to help you retrain, upskill or facilitate a change of career.

Register now!

The Energy and Environment Institute is looking to equip people with a passion for the environment with the necessary skills, knowledge and training to become future leaders. They actively welcome applicants with academic backgrounds in a wide range of STEM subjects and varied work experience. If you would like to hone your skills towards a particular career path or would like to embark upon a research career, these webinars cover a range of options.

Whether your interest lies in the MSc in Renewable Energy, MSc Environmental Change, Management & Monitoring or MSc in Flood Risk Management or research to tackle environmental and engineering challenges, these postgraduate courses and research scholarships will help you take your next steps as well as contributing to a greener, more resilient society.

All these postgraduate pathways are designed with future careers in mind. The renewables and offshore wind sector are fast-growing industries with 100,000 new jobs needed by 2030 to help the UK meet its carbon reduction targets. Global flood risk is set to double by 2050 and key organisations are experiencing a shortage of talented people with the skills required to build resilience into flood event preparation, response and recovery. Climate change is exacerbating environmental change and the attendant economic fall-out.

A number of £5,000 Scholarships are linked to the Masters Programmes. Both the Aura CDT and the Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Centre for Water Cultures offer fully-funded scholarships, with fee waiver and stipend set at UKRI approved rates.

Join a webinar to hear from course lecturers, current students & researchers as well as employers. The webinars will close with a Q&A giving attendees the opportunity to delve deeper into issues of particular interest.
