About this course
Today’s managers must deal with different national business practices, cultural changes and language needs.
They also need to appreciate how business functions like finance, marketing, human resource management or logistics work across national borders.
On this degree, we'll challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and help you develop the skills to consistently make good business decisions with these factors in mind, with modules on the world economy, cross-cultural management, emerging markets, and more.
You’ll develop the hands-on experience employers are looking for through our distinctive Authentic Business Learning (ABL) approach. Each year, you’ll take part in live business projects and collaborate with real organisations - putting you and your career at the centre of everything we do from day one.
In your second year, you’ll also have the opportunity to spend a trimester on a work-based internship or study abroad at ESSEC, ranked in the world’s top 1% of business schools, where you’ll learn from world-leading academics at the heart of some of Europe’s leading industries.
If you choose to include a placement year, you can build on this experience even further, gaining valuable industry insight with organisations such as Aldi and Centrica Storage, where our students have previously secured placements – giving you the confidence, experience and professional network to graduate ready to stand out.
Business as unusual
Module options
Each year, you’ll study modules worth a certain number of credits, and you need 120 credits per year. Most modules are 20 credits – so you’ll study six modules each year. Some longer modules, such as a dissertation, are worth more. In these cases, you’ll study fewer modules - but the number of credits will always add up to 120. Some modules are compulsory, some are optional, so you can build a course that’s right for you.
