About this course
Ready to turn compassion into a career that changes lives? On this accelerated two-year degree, you'll explore how occupational therapists support people of all ages across health, social care and community settings.
Through a mix of lectures, workshops, simulation and placements, you'll study areas including mental health, paediatrics, long-term conditions, older adult care and occupational justice. As the course develops, you'll apply your learning to increasingly complex practice scenarios, working with different client groups and settings while exploring assessment, intervention and collaborative approaches to care.
Guided by experienced practitioners and informed by the latest research, you'll graduate ready to begin your career as a registered occupational therapist.

Each year, you'll study 180 credits, reflecting the accelerated nature of the programme. Modules vary in size and credit value, so the number you take may differ from year to year. Dr Meysam Tayebipour is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy who joined the University of Hull in 2026 to lead the development of its occupational therapy programmes.

For UK students, our standard course fee is £NaN per year. Keep in mind that some courses are longer - for example, spending your third year abroad will make your degree four years in total.
