Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), this course is designed for people who have a strong interest in marketing – but who also want to train for management.

It’s ideal if you want to become a creative, strategic decision maker who’s capable of delivering imaginative solutions to business problems.

You’ll also be part of the prestigious Hull University Business School. Our independent accreditations (including AMBA and AACSB) are held by fewer than 2% of the world’s 12,000 business programmes. That places us, and you, in an exclusive club.

About this course

You’ll study the latest marketing and management concepts, learn about consumer behaviour and understand how to harness the power of digital marketing and social media.

But it’s not just about the theory. This course is hands-on from day one, so you’ll take part in live business projects for international brands and be fully supported by our passionate and expert staff while you practise real-life scenarios.

And that means you’ll graduate with a strong foundation in both marketing and business principles – plus with the practical skills and experience that employers look for.

Further opportunities include an annual marketing challenge or a placement year to gain valuable work experience and get paid. Recent companies who have worked with our students include Siemens Gamesa, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM and Sony.

And thanks to our accreditation with the Institute of Marketing (CIM), you’ll be eligible for student membership, get access to networking events and be exempted from certain exams, putting you on the fast track to a professional qualification and a head start on your competitors.

Module options

Each year, you’ll study modules worth a certain number of credits, and you need 120 credits per year. Most modules are 20 credits – so you’ll study six modules each year. Some longer modules, such as a dissertation, are worth more. In these cases, you’ll study fewer modules - but the number of credits will always add up to 120. Some modules are compulsory, some are optional, so you can build a course that’s right for you.
