Before Results Day
Results Day is easier when you’ve done a little preparation beforehand. If you’re thinking about Hull, here are a few things you can do now.
Sign-up for Clearing First
Put yourself one step ahead by signing up for Clearing First.
You'll receive early information about courses in your subject area, priority access to our Clearing hotline, member-only emails, a free live Q&A webinar and a phone call on Results Day with options and answers. You'll also get priority access to university accommodation.
Explore your course options
Take some time to explore the courses available through Clearing and identify the subjects that interest you.
You might discover a course you hadn't previously considered. If you're not sure which course is right for you, our admissions team can help you explore your options. Want the inside view? Chat to one of our students about their course, accommodation and life at Hull.
Start planning your finances
The period between exams and Results Day is a good opportunity to think about the practical side of university life, including tuition fees, student finance and living costs.
Understanding the costs now can help you make informed decisions later. Hull is the UK's most affordable student city , and one of the coolest places to live in the UK , helping your money go further while having a great time.
Visit our campus – whether you’re here or not
Why imagine where you could be next year when you can see it for yourself?
Book on to a Campus Visit and see whether Hull feels like the right place for you. We have visits scheduled every week before Results Day and then daily immediately afterwards. You'll get the chance to explore the campus, look around our accommodation and ask any questions you have.
Can't make it to campus in person? Take a Virtual Tour and explore our accommodation, teaching facilities, campus and city wherever you are and see where you could be in September.
Think about where you’ll live
Campus or commute? It’s one of the most important decisions you’ll make, so it’s a good idea to start thinking about it now.
At Hull, accommodation is guaranteed for Clearing students who apply by the deadline, and we also offer short-stay accommodation if you want to live at home but stay over occasionally.

Whatever your results, our team is here to help you understand your options and find the right course.
