Ready to call Hull home?

Securing your place in Hull’s vibrant student community is a big step in your university journey. But here, we make it easy. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another year, our streamlined application process ensures you can secure a space that suits you. With support at every stage, you can focus on what really matters: embracing the possibilities ahead.

Not decided on your accommodation yet? We offer three on-campus options, each with a variety of room types to suit different needs and budgets.

These are The Courtyard, Westfield Court and Taylor Court. Check them out on an Open Day or a virtual tour to help you decide which one is right for you.

We are also partnered with University Quarter, just a 5-minute walk from campus. You can either take a look at an Open Day or book a viewing for when the time suits you.

New students

Depending on what stage you're at in the university application process, and what type of offer you hold, there are slightly different processes for securing your room.

Returning students

University accommodation isn’t just for first years. Loads of our second- and third-year students choose to stay on campus for many reasons.

Special offers exclusively for returners

We like to give our returning students a little welcome back gift, so you can expect some great discounts and special offers.¹

Live with friends

There's loads of options for living with friends, from flats to townhouses. Unlike private student houses, each person has their own tenancy, so you're not jointly liable if someone doesn’t pay.

A location that can't be beaten

Stay at the heart of campus, with everything from lectures to sports facilities, the students’ union, and places to eat just a short walk away. Plus, plenty of time for lie-ins.

An affordable option

Remember, private student houses aren’t always cheaper. Once you add on utility bills, internet services, contents insurance and travel, things really start to add up.

No nasty surprises

We never charge an admin fee, and there are no scary credit checks.

Postgraduate students

We know that postgraduate students have different needs to undergraduate students. That’s why we offer dedicated on-campus accommodation for postgrads. This includes standard and deluxe en-suite rooms, studio apartments, rooftop apartments, and campus houses. All rooms are self-catered and come with a 51-week contract.

Accepted an offer to study with us? We’ll send you an email to the address registered with the University on how to access our portal to secure your accommodation.

When you’ve made your choice, we’ll ask you to accept a residence contract to confirm your booking.

International students

After accepting your course offer, your information will be transferred to our accommodation system. You’ll receive an email within 72 hours with instructions on how to apply.

For our inbound exchange students, the accommodation portal will pick up both full year and single semester contracts – be sure to select the correct contract length for your exchange programme.

Once you have made your choice, we will ask you to accept a residence contract to confirm your booking.

Other things to consider

Before you make that all-important decision about which room to pick, make sure you've considered anything that may affect what contract duration you'll need.

It's also important to let us know if you have any access or other requirements so that we can recommend the best room for your needs.
