Summary

Zeeshan Ali is a Lecturer in Quantitative Criminology at the School of Criminology, Sociology and Policing, University of Hull. His research is motivated by real-world problems, primarily arising from social sciences and public health. He is particularly interested in developing new statistical theory and methodology to improve decision-making, quality of life and social progress.

Before joining Hull in 2023, Zeeshan graduated with his PhD (Statistics) from the University of Warwick on the Chancellor's International Scholarship. During his stay at Warwick, he taught Statistics to undergraduate students in the Department of Statistics and Quantitative Methods to postgraduate students at Warwick Business School. He served in the Royal Statistical Society, West Midlands Local Group, as a committee member between January 2021 and December 2022.

He was also a Lecturer in Statistics at Government College University, Lahore, and served in the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab, Pakistan.
