Tony Walker

Tony qualified as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse in 1988, gaining experience in both hospital and community settings before developing a strong interest in education and staff development. He went on to hold leadership roles within private nursing home organisations before joining higher education as a Course Manager.

He later established and ran a successful healthcare training business delivering education across the UK. Following a period managing a Post Office branch while supporting a family member, he joined the University of Hull as a Lecturer/Practitioner and later became a Lecturer.

In his current role as Peripatetic Academic Link and as Lecturer, he supports students and placements across a wide range of health and social care settings.
