Summary

I have always had a keen interest in science and health care. I completed a degree in biology and wanted to go into teaching but at the same time became very passionate about nursing. I worked in nursing practice for 17 years, mainly within the fields of haematology and oncology. I spent time as an oncology research nurse and a clinical nurse educator before I came to the University of Hull where I am now a fellow and lecturer in adult nursing, whilst also maintaining my nurse registration. I teach on the BSc degree, aprentirship and the nursing associate programs.
