Olly has developed into a highly-regarded marine taxonomist in both the commercial and research sector since graduating from the University in 2001.

Together with his colleagues, he has helped to establish the reputation of the Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Studies (IECS), the school and the University in marine invertebrate taxonomy.

Olly is also responsible for developing the IECS's and the school's particle size analysis capability using laser diffraction.

Through his commercial/research expertise, Olly provides invaluable help for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as for visiting researchers.
