About Kevin Christian
Kevin Christian is an Adult Nursing Lecturer at the University of Hull since 2019, holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing from Symbiosis International University, India. With a diverse professional background, he has served as a Training Coordinator for the Global Fund for AIDS, TB, and Malaria (GFATM), where he conducted training sessions for over 200 staff nurses. As an American Heart Association (AHA) Trainer, he has trained doctors and nurses in BLS/ACLS provider course.
Kevin has also held positions such as Head of Medical Surgical Nursing Department at Sumandeep Vidhyapeeth University, India and as a Registered Nurse at James Paget University Teaching Hospitals in Gorleston, UK.
Currently, he serves as the Intake Lead for 1st-year BSc Nursing & RNDA Cohort 2023 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
He teaches modules for BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) & BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) Apprenticeship programmes. He has also taught medical, surgical and research modules to Yangzhou nursing students at Yangzhou University, China as a part of collaboration.
His research interests are nursing simulation, nursing education and clinical practice and is fascinated to develop a model that can categorise people living with diabetes in terms of lifestyle modifications.
Outside of work, Kevin likes to play cricket and is an active team member for Hull University Staff team.
