Hull rises in every major UK university league table

The guide, published last week, saw Hull climb 10 places in the overall rankings, coming in at 50th out of 130 institutions.

Hull ranked 28th in the UK for graduate prospects, placing the University in the top quartile nationally and highlighting the strong employment and further study outcomes achieved by graduates.

The Times Social Inclusion Ranking placed the University first in England and Wales for students from low participation areas, reflecting Hull’s success in widening access to higher education and creating opportunities for learners from underrepresented communities.

Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education Professor John Craig said: “Our consistent rise across all four major UK university league tables is a clear sign of the momentum that we are building and the growing recognition of the quality of the teaching, research and student experience here at Hull."

At a subject level, The University saw three courses ranked in the top ten. Social Work was placed fifth out of 74 institutions, Creative Writing seventh out of 53 institutions and Medicine joint tenth out of 37 institutions.

In June, the Complete University Guide placed the University of Hull among the UK's top 20 institutions for student satisfaction, while last month the Daily Mail recognised Hull as Yorkshire's leading university for graduates’ careers being on track. Then, earlier this month, the publication of The Guardian University Guide saw Hull jump 28 places in its overall rankings.

Together, these results reflect the University's continued progress across student experience, academic quality and graduate success.
