Foundation

For Business, Law, Computer Science and Engineering courses:

Our Business, Law and Engineering foundation courses are run by our partner ONCAMPUS Hull. For further information regarding entry qualifications see the ONCAMPUS website.

For admission onto our foundation course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

Standard XII with a minimum grade of 55%
All India Senior School Certificate Examination/Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a minimum grade of 55%
Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 with a minimum grade of 55%
Indian School Certificate (Year 12) awarded by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with a minimum grade of 55%

If your first language is not English, or you require a student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

Undergraduate

For admission onto the first year of an undergraduate bachelors degree course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

CBSE Standard XII (India Senior School Certificate) with a minimum grade of 70% from top 4 subjects average
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with a minimum grade of 70% from top 4 subjects average
Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (Intermediate Public Examination) with a minimum grade of 60% average
Government of Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education (Second Year Pre-University Examination) with a minimum grade of 60% average
Government of Kerala Board of Public Examinations (Higher Secondary Examination Certificate) with a minimum grade of 150 and above average
Gujarat Secondary Education Board (Higher Secondary Certificate Examination) with a minimum grade of 70% average
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (Higher Secondary Certificate Examination) with a minimum grade of 60% average
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a range of 28 – 30

We also accept students who have completed a US high school curriculum.

We sometimes require subject specific grades, we will advise you of this in your offer letter.

If you do not hold one of the qualifications above, we still encourage you to submit an application. All applications will be reviewed on an individual basis.

If you wish to study with us starting from the second or final year, we are happy to consider applicants who have completed equivalent prior study. These applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Postgraduate Taught

Most of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

We generally consider a Bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years in duration, awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in India, comparable to a UK Bachelor's Honours degree.

Lower second-class (2.2) equivalent
Overall 50%

Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
Overall 60%

Postgraduate Research

The majority of our research Masters programmes and PhDs require that you hold a qualification equivalent to an upper second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.1), although some programmes, especially PhDs may have higher entry requirements. Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

We generally consider a Bachelor degree of a minimum three years in duration, awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in India to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.
