Foundation

For admission onto our foundation course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

South Cyprus

Απολυτήριο Λυκείου / Apolytirion of Lykeio (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with a minimum grade of 14

North Cyprus

Devlet Lise Diplomasi or Lise Bitrimi Diplomasi with a minimum grade of 7.5
From the following schools: Eastern Mediterranean (Now Doga) College, Turk Maarif College, Bulent Ecevit Anadolu Lycee, Near East College, Girne American College, Levent College, Gazi Lycee.) a minimum grade 7.0 is acceptable.

If your first language is not English, or you require a student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

Undergraduate

For admission onto the first year of an undergraduate bachelors degree course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

South Cyprus

Απολυτήριο Λυκείου / Apolytirion of Lykeio (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with a minimum grade of 17

North Cyprus

Two A levels at grade B + a Devlet Lise Diplomasi or Lise Bitrimi Diplomasi with a minimum grade of 7.5

We also accept students who have completed a US high school curriculum. Or the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a grade range of 28 – 30.

If you do not hold one of the qualifications above, we still encourage you to submit an application. All applications will be reviewed on an individual basis.

If you wish to study with us starting from the second or final year, we are happy to consider applicants who have completed equivalent prior study. These applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Postgraduate Taught

The majority of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

South Cyprus

We generally consider Πτυχίο (Bachelor degree) awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Cyprus to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

Overall grade 6.5 out of 10

Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
Overall grade 7.5 out of 10

North Cyprus

We would generally accept Bachelor degree awarded by the below recognised higher education institution as comparable to UK Bachelor Honours degree:

The majority of our research Masters programmes and PhDs require that you hold a qualification equivalent to an upper second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.1), although some programmes, especially PhDs may have higher entry requirements. Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.
