"Receiving the Undergraduate Scholarship from the International Office solidified the University of Hull as my first choice. The courses seemed ideally designed for studying comfortably while keeping the work engaging, notably the course also granted the opportunity to study free elective modules." Maha Aamir, BSc Biology

Pakistan - Maha Aamir

"My course has allowed me to gain a vast preview of the subject while simultaneously receive comprehensive knowledge of its intricacies. The Department has always been accommodating, all professors are both very approachable and understanding.

"I have been able to write articles for the University newspaper, The Hullfire. I am part of the International Students Association and the University of Hull Swimming Club. The Biology Society has provided me with opportunities towards my degree.

"As a student, Hull provides the optimal environment. While the city is constantly teeming with energy it also possesses a tranquillity that is absent in more metropolitan areas. The campus is a salient feature of the city and enhances its vibrancy. The campus itself is a dynamic place, never lacking in activities to participate in.

"The University magnifies your strengths, generates the skills needed to manage any hindrances. It guides your progression but leaves you in control of its ultimate direction. After University, I plan to use everything I have learnt and work in industry for a while. Afterwards, I will pursue further education.

"My greatest moments from my time at Hull are:

  1. Travelling around Europe in the summer.
  2. Travelling to York with the University.
  3. Hull Fair – an event you shouldn’t miss!"
