Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

    For admission onto the first year of an undergraduate bachelors degree course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

    • ΑΠΟΛΥΤΗΡΙΟ ΓΕΝΙΚΟΥ ΛΥΚΕΙΟΥ/ Apolytirio Genikou Lykeiou (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Lykeiouor ΑΠΟΛΥΤΗΡΙΟ ΕΝΙΑΙΟΥ ΛΥΚΕΙΟΥ/ Apolytirio Eniaiou Lykeiou with a minimum grade of 17
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma with a range of 28 – 30

    We also accept students who have completed a US high school curriculum.

    We sometimes require subject specific grades, we will advise you of this in your offer letter.

    If you wish to study with us starting from the second or final year, we are happy to consider applicants who have completed equivalent prior study. These applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please email global@hull.ac.uk for further details.

  • Postgraduate Taught

    The majority of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

    We generally consider ΠΤΥΧΙΟ undergraduate degree awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Greece to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

    If awarded by a university, we generally require the below grades:

    Lower second-class (2.2) equivalent
    Overall grade 6.0 out of 10

    Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
    Overall grade 7.0 out of 10

    If awarded by a Technological Education Institute (Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα):

    Lower second-class (2.2) equivalent
    Overall grade 7.0 out of 10

    Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
    Overall grade 7.5 out of 10

  • Postgraduate Research

    The majority of our research Masters programmes and PhDs require that you hold a qualification equivalent to an upper second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.1), although some programmes, especially PhDs may have higher entry requirements.     We generally consider ΠΤΥΧΙΟ undergraduate degree awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Greece to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

    For admission onto our foundation course we generally accept the following qualifications and grades:

    • ΑΠΟΛΥΤΗΡΙΟ ΓΕΝΙΚΟΥ ΛΥΚΕΙΟΥ/ Apolytirio Genikou Lykeiou (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Lykeiouor ΑΠΟΛΥΤΗΡΙΟ ΕΝΙΑΙΟΥ ΛΥΚΕΙΟΥ/ Apolytirio Eniaiou Lykeiou with a minimum grade of 15

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

Fees

  • Undergraduate - Standard tuition fees for International students studying in 2021/22 are £14,800 per year for most Arts, Humanities and Business programmes and £17,550 for Science courses – but substantial discounts and scholarships are available. Non-standard fees apply for some courses - please see your course page for fees. New international students will receive a tuition fee discount of £1,000-£1,500.
  • Postgraduate Taught - Fees for International students studying Postgraduate Taught masters degrees in 2021/22 will match our UK fees (excluding MA Social Work, HYMS programmes or EMBA). Our International postgraduate tuition fees for these programmes beginning September 2021 and January 2022 start from £7,850 per year. Non-standard fees apply for some courses - please see your course page for fees.
  • Postgraduate Research - Our postgraduate research courses are between £15,000 and £17,500. There are some PhD scholarships available designed to attract the best academic talent to further our groundbreaking research.
