Culture, Place and Policy Institute

The Culture, Place and Policy Institute continue to explore the impacts of Hull UK City of Culture 2017, working towards the release of a final evaluation report in November 2019.  The final report will offer deeper analysis of the processes and outcomes of the City of Culture year, whilst making a first examination of post-2017 perspectives.  Building upon the preliminary outcomes evaluation, the final report will include

• Added insights from CPPI’s formative and process evaluation
• Updated findings relating to employment and tourism
• New data from the 2018 Citywide Resident’s Survey
• Additional interviews with key stakeholders, including an exploration of the initial legacies of Hull UK City of Culture 2017.

The current stage of evaluation is funded by the University of Hull as an extension of their commitment to the Hull UK City of Culture 2017 project.

The findings will be disseminated at our second Cultural Transformations conference, to be hosted by CPPI on 19-21 November 2019.
