Aura Innovation Centre

The Aura Innovation Centre (AIC) is a community that supports businesses of all sizes, helping them to accelerate low-carbon projects, drive green innovation and deliver clean business growth.
We help businesses to get their carbon reducing innovation ideas off the ground through specialist funding support, access to advanced testing facilities and the right expertise to help deliver your project.
Whether that idea is a new product, process or service, we’ll help you to deliver it.

Flood Innovation Centre

The Flood Innovation Centre supports small and medium-sized businesses to develop new flood resilience products and services. The centre was established in April 2019 in response to climate change and a desire to drive forward commercial thinking in the flood resilience sector. It brings our world-class research in climate change, engineering, logistics, materials and computer science to Humber based SMEs.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

A KTP enables a business to bring in new skills and the latest academic thinking to deliver a specific, strategic innovation project through a knowledge-based partnership. Business partners benefit from academic expertise not otherwise available in-house, access to grant monies and the opportunity to gain a competitive edge in their market.

Enterprise Centre

The Enterprise Centre

If you base your new business at the Enterprise Centre you’ll have the benefits of shared facilities, including airy, open meeting spaces, a conference room with full audio visual support for board meetings, and a modern, equipped kitchen. You’ll also be able to take advantage of the University’s fabulous campus facilities, such as the library, sports centre, cafes, restaurants and bistros, corporate meeting facilities, and facilities to host dinners. All with easy travel and parking on campus, and set in one of the UK’s most beautiful campus settings.
The Enterprise Centre has supported over 140 start-ups since it opened in 2008, with data showing that our tenants are beating local and national survival rates, and have a combined annual turnover in excess of £8 million.
