About this course
At Hull, colleagues and students are uniting in action towards becoming carbon neutral. We’re rising to the challenge, leading the way to help to solve some of these complex problems. Not just for our region, but for the world beyond our shores.
We’re committed to operating as a sustainable organisation, so you're in the right place if you're looking to develop skills in sustainability and environmental management.
We have trained students from HSE, The Environment Agency, Siemens, BP, INEOS, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and Police Service, and many other organisations, with our part-time course able to fit around your other commitments.
You’ll be expected to study for around 20 hours per week and you’ll be eligible for non-chartered membership of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (MCIWEM) and specialist membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (SIIRSM) when you graduate.
Enrolling on the diploma means you'll also be enrolled on the four-year BSc in Safety and Environmental Management. You can leave after getting the diploma if you want – or you could continue studying for the BSc qualification to add it to your CV.
