Summary

Dr. Mamoon Bashir is an award-winning academic, currently working as the Graduate Research Director of Hull University Business School. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience within and outside the United Kingdom. He won the prestigious "Inspired in Hull Award 2022" for his outstanding contribution to the postgraduate student experience. He teaches Supply Chain Management, Global Logistics Management, Operations Management modules. His research area mainly focuses on Supply Chain Management and Digitalisation. Dr. Mamoon is also the Director of Post Graduate Admissions (taught programmes) at Hull University Business School.

Dr. Mamoon holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management and Digitalisation from Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. He received his M.Sc. in International Business Management from Aberystwyth University and Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practices (PCAP) from University of Hull. Dr. Mamoon is a Fellow of Advance HE (Former Higher Education Academy, UK) and Honourable Member, International Advisory Board, Canadian University of Bangladesh.

Dr. Mamoon is working as the PI of an AURA-funded (GBP 40,000) project on carbon mapping, at the University of Hull. Previously, Dr. Mamoon contributed to different funded projects as Co-PI and RA. Among them BBSRC funded ‘Sparking Impact Project’ and British Academy funded 'A cross country examination of supply chain barriers on market access for small and medium firms in India and UK’ are mentionable.

Before joining Hull, Mamoon acted as the Director of MBA & EMBA Programs (Equiv. to Head of School) and Director, of International Affairs at the Canadian University of Bangladesh. Previously he had the privilege of working in different academic roles at the University of East Anglia, Aberystwyth University, BRAC University, East West University, Bangladesh University of Textiles. Mamoon is a visiting Professor at Tashkent Institute of Finance, Uzbekistan.

He publishes in several international peer-reviewed journals including ABS 3*, ABDC A and SCOPUS-indexed Q1 rating journals. He is one of the Editors of the Archives of Business Administration and Management Journal, GAVIN PUBLISHERS, IL USA. He is also working as a reviewer in some of the world's leading journals including the International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning and Control, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Grid and Utility Computing and Qualitative Journal of Financial Management.

Dr Mamoon is an active TV, Social media and Radio influencer. He has been interviewed as a logistics expert in many conventional media including ITV, Channel 5, Vikings fm (UK), Daily Star (Bangladesh), The Prestige etc.
