Summary

Linda currently teaches at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive level in logistics, supply chain and operations management.

She is Deputy MBA Director and Programme Director for the following programmes: Exec MBA part-time and Global MBA full-time. She also has co-developed the supply chain leadership professional degree programme. She has previously had schools outreach responsibility for the Management Systems & Logistics Subject Group and been HUBS Undergraduate Exams Officer.

She works through business and knowledge engagement in consultancy and research with leading local businesses such as Birds Eye Ltd. and Wren Kitchens.

Previously she worked at University of Nottingham Business School, leading courses in supply chain management and quality management.

For more than five years, she was seconded to the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus where she led courses in operations management, manufacturing strategy and supply chain management at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive level.

Research interests

Her research projects currently involve carbon foot-printing and embedding sustainability into supply chain operations. She is co-investigator in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Wren Kitchens working to embed sustainability into their operations. She is currently working in the food and agri-business sector helping Birds Eye to investigate soil health through The Power of the Pea Project. She has also completed project in the local sustainable construction sector.

She has been the Principal Investigator for a THYME funded project looking into the commercial viability of sustainable feedstocks for the production of pharmaceutical products (SUSTAIN). this research is partnered with University of York, Bio Development Centre and GSK.

Her research history has focused on assessing supply chain time and cost in the food industry both in the UK and Malaysia.
