About Leah Nesbit
Leah Nesbit is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science at The University of Hull, where she contributes to the education and development of future healthcare professionals through teaching, module leadership and clinical skills education. A registered paramedic by background, Leah has experience in both frontline prehospital care and higher education, bringing contemporary clinical practice into the classroom.
Leah holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and is currently undertaking an MSc in Health Research. Her academic interests centre on evidence-informed healthcare education, student wellbeing and the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning within paramedic science.
Alongside her teaching responsibilities, Leah is the Paramedic Science Apprenticeship Lead, the Nominated Fitness to Practice Lead for Allied Health Professional programmes and leads the School of Healthcare's social media strategy, promoting engagement, student recruitment and the visibility of healthcare education.
Leah teaches and leads across a range of undergraduate modules, with particular interests in evidence-based practice, acute prehospital care and clinical practice education 2. Her developing research interests focus on simulation and student experience.
Passionate about developing the next generation of paramedics, Leah is committed to delivering high-quality education, fostering an inclusive learning environment and contributing to the advancement of paramedic education through scholarship, research and collaborative working.
