What is a Students’ Union?

When you join Hull, you automatically become a member of Hull University Students’ Union (HUSU).

HUSU is here to ensure you feel part of the student community and help you look forward to a bright future. We do this by representing your academic interests and giving you a voice to speak out about the issues that matter to you most.

Getting involved in HUSU is the best way to make friends, try new things, find your people and become part of something bigger.

Ejimchi Collins Peter-Dumbili

President of Union Development 2024/25

For students, by students

HUSU is independent from the University. It’s led by a team of elected full- and part-time Student Leaders who work to represent students’ views and improve University life for all. Students from any year and studying at any level can run for a Student Leader role.

Where can I find HUSU on campus?

You can’t miss us. We’re based in the Student Central building, but we run activities right across campus. You’ll find Student Central just across from the DAIM building and next door to the Gulbenkian theatre.
