Hull University Students' Union's (HUSU) teams and societies cover everything – from the academic to the activist, American Football to Volleyball, the creative to the downright quirky. Whatever you're into, there's a place for you here.

Sports clubs
Sport is a huge part of student life at Hull, and our Athletic Union (AU) is at the heart of it all.
With over 50 student-led clubs, ranging from casual kickabouts to competitive leagues, it’s the perfect way to meet new people, stay active and make unforgettable memories.
You’ll be supported by your President for Student Communities, your dedicated Athletic Union Part-time Officer, the Communities Zone, and Hull University Students’ Union (HUSU) staff. They will help to grow your sports teams and ensure the Athletic Union continues to go from strength to strength.
Societies
Not into sports? No problem. Our societies bring people together over shared passions – no sweat required.
Join something fun, like our Lego or Yoga societies. Explore a subject you're passionate about, or just curious to learn more about, through societies like Music or Medical.

Can’t find what you’re looking for?
Start your own society or sports club
Don’t see anything that suits you? You can set up your own society or sports team. Hull is full of different, like-minded people, and starting your own society is a great way to build your own tribe. You don't need hundred of new members – just three – and sometimes its about quality over quantity.
So if you know three other people who want to exclusively crochet Kanto Pokémon, or read Nietzsche while running, or chew over their favourite scenes from Ghibli movies. You know what to do.
And if you don't? They're easier to find than you think...

Your Students’ Union is led by students, for students. When you enrol at Hull, you’re automatically a free member of HUSU – there's no membership fee.
