The Hull History Centre is a partnership between the University of Hull and Hull City Council, bringing together archives that tell the story of the city and its people. From medieval manuscripts to modern records, the Centre offers a unique resource for research, learning and discovery.

Share your research. We work with taught and research postgraduates, providing space for you to deliver research focused exhibitions, workshops and talks to engage with local audiences.
How to find us
In the heart of the city, you’ll find us on Worship Street behind the Hull New Theatre.
We’re just a ten-minute walk from Paragon Interchange.
You’ll find a council-run car park behind the History Centre, with electric charging points.
On your bike? Bike stands are located under the arcade in front of the building.
Opening hours
Monday: Closed
Tuesday - Thursday: 9.30-4.30
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 9.30-12.30, every first and third of the month
Sunday: Closed
