Business School Students

All of our full-time Business School undergraduates on a four-year degree programme can spend a minimum 40 weeks on a paid placement. Our students have previously worked at the likes of IBM, Microsoft, Siemens, Walt Disney, Lloyds Bank and Sony. We also offer modules which incorporate input from businesses. These short-term consultancies are fantastic for developing practical skills and understanding issues facing modern organisations.

Law Students

Our annual Law Convention gives you the opportunity to network and connect with potential employers. It's one of numerous options for boosting your employability at Hull. There's also our award-winning Legal Advice Centre (free help for real clients); e-mentoring (linking you with legal professionals); and mooting competitions.

Politics Students

We'll encourage you to consider adding an internship into your experience mix while studying with us. That could be as part of our prestigious Westminster placement programme or with an organisation in the fields of politics, international affairs or security. The important thing is that it's all about enhancing your employability.

Connect with our students

We connect our students with a range of businesses, giving them the opportunity to use their skills to make a difference to organisations. You can engage with our students through year-long placements, short-term commissions or internships, guest lectures or mock interviews, or by promoting job vacancies to students and alumni.

It's a cost-effective way of gaining a fresh perspective on current practices, and it's an opportunity to assess potential future employees while raising your organisation's profile within our student population.
