The challenge
Bericap had a requirement for independent, in-depth testing of a product to validate the positive results obtained from their rigorous in-house testing.
There was a requirement for a fast turn-around, specialist equipment and external expertise in the field of plastics analysis.
The approach
Following detailed discussions, The University of Hull’s Analytical Services devised a novel multi-instrument approach, utilising two analytical chemistry techniques (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectroscopy) to analyse the composition of the samples and compare with the existing internal results.
The impact
Expert minds provided a novel and effective approach, while accessibility and responsiveness enabled a quick delivery time.
The validated test results allowed Bericap to maintain their already impressive quality levels with no downtime to their operations.
