Collaboration and Community:
Building Connections in Higher Education
Online International Teaching & Learning Conference: 9th July 2025, 9:15-16:00
Call for Contributions
The University of Hull is delighted to announce its annual Teaching and Learning Conference, to be held online on the 9th July. This year, we invite academics, students, practitioners, and professional services staff from across the sector to explore the theme of Collaboration and Community. As the higher education landscape evolves, fostering meaningful connections within and beyond our institutions is critical for enriching the student experience, supporting staff well-being, and addressing global challenges. As ever, we will also run an in-person event for local colleagues on Thursday 10th July along the same theme.
Conference Themes
We seek submissions that explore innovative approaches, reflect on research findings, and introduce case studies related to collaboration and community in teaching and learning. This theme welcomes diverse perspectives, including but not limited to:
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strategies for bridging disciplines to enhance learning outcomes.
- Student-Staff Partnerships: Co-creation of curricula, assessments, and learning experiences.
- Community Engagement: Initiatives connecting universities with local, national, or global communities.
- Digital Collaboration: Leveraging technology to foster inclusive and effective connections.
- International Partnerships: Cross-cultural and transnational educational collaborations.
- Peer-to-Peer Learning: Building learning communities among students and staff.
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Creating collaborative environments that empower all voices.
