The University has a well-established internship programme that can provide experience you need; opportunities are available in the UK and internationally. You can also develop your skills through a paid role in the University, including being a Student Ambassador, by doing a part-time job locally, or getting involved in volunteering.
We advertise thousands of jobs every year and can provide you with all of the help you need to be successful in the application process.
Events and networking
Who you know can be as important as what you know. The careers team can help you open doors by connecting you with a wide range of employers.
Every year we arrange events on campus to allow you to build your professional network with prospective employers and help you make personal connections with employer mentoring. Mentors advise and support you as you plan your career path and can directly open the door to internship opportunities and job offers.
From volunteering to part-time work, academic study to being a member of a sports team, you can gain a wealth of experience here. The Hull Employability Awards give you the recognition you deserve.
The awards support and endorse the employability skills you have developed and help you stand out from the crowd. But it's not just about the award, we'll help you articulate the skills you develop on your journey towards becoming a distinctive Hull graduate.
