Calling all LEGO fans! A celebration of LEGO returns to University of Hull

On Saturday 12 August 2023, the Hull Brick Festival will return to the Allam Sport Centre at the University of Hull, to celebrate its sixth year.

This is a hugely popular event that showcases the very best LEGO creations from people around the country – from a recreation of the Simpsons’ Springfield to life-sized cars.

Established in 2018, the event has grown in size significantly (as have the LEGO creations!) as it was once hosted at Hull Guildhall before moving to the University campus for the first time this year.

Prizes will be on offer throughout the day, with speed building competitions, large scale displays, an abundance of activities, traders selling loose bricks, new LEGO sets, retired LEGO sets, minifigures and more.

Mark Hagues, Booking and Events Officer (Sport) at the University of Hull, said: “This is a great day for families in the local area, as there’ll be lots of fun activities planned and around 1000 visitors are expected to attend to take in the action.

“It’s a really fun day where everyone is welcomed onto the University campus to enjoy a different style of festival.

“It’s all for a good cause as well, as this year the Hull event will be partnering with and raising funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. They provide specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children living with complex, lifelong conditions.”

To attend the festival, tickets are available to purchase online.
