Start your 2021 by seeing everything the University of Hull has to offer

The University of Hull is kickstarting 2021 with two Virtual Open Days, showcasing its courses and campus to prospective students.

Those who register for an Open Day – taking place on Thursday, 7 January and Friday, 8 January – will be able to meet current staff and students at Hull in a safe, digital environment.

Key information on courses and opportunities on offer at the University will be provided, and virtual tours will give visitors the chance to explore Hull’s beautiful campus.

Despite the most recent national restrictions announced by Government, the University’s Virtual Open Days provide a true flavour of life as a student in the city.

Anja Hazebroek, Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing, said: “Last year, we moved our Open Days online to ensure prospective students could still experience everything the University can offer them.

“While 2021 has not started in the way many would have hoped, with new national restrictions this week being imposed, we remain excited to meet potential future students and showcase our fantastic range of courses and facilities.

“I would encourage anyone who has not yet registered to attend this week’s Open Days to do so. Demand for many of our courses at Hull – particularly those which have come to the fore during the COVID-19 pandemic – is incredibly high, and after improving our ranking in several key university guides, we are in a strong position looking ahead to September.”

Recent success in some of the most prestigious university rankings in the UK are set to make the University of Hull a popular choice for the next academic year, starting in 2021.

The virtual Open Days will give visitors the chance to speak to course tutors and students through online presentations and forums, see the library, accommodation and sports facilities through a virtual tour of the University’s campus, and get a real sense of life in Hull.

In advance of the Open Days, there is also the chance to ask current students questions on Live Chat about the Open Days and life as a student in Hull on the University website, where you can also book your place.

“We want to reassure all applicants and their families that we have gone above and beyond to make our Campus COVID-safe and we are already planning how we can make this the best experience it can possibly for students coming to us for 2021 entry,” Anja Hazebroek said.

The Open Days will provide information, including live broadcasts, on a wide range of courses and subjects at the University.

There will also be opportunities for all visitors to live chat with staff and students.

Visitors will have access to a wealth of information, including videos, testimonials and ‘how to’ guides.

Course tutors will be on-hand to share details of the modules and career experience on offer, while current students at the University will also give an insight into life in the city.

Essential information will also be provided on areas including student accommodation, finance, admissions and support.

Book your place now.

Recordings of all the live subject presentations will also be made available to all those who have registered to watch on-demand after the event.
