Dr Shabbir is included in a line-up of 80 globally-acclaimed marketing and management thought leaders at the e-World Marketing Summit, the world’s largest and most global marketing platform.

With a passion for marketing ethics, Dr Shabbir’s work has appeared in a string of leading marketing journals, including the Journal of Advertising, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Services Research, European Journal of Marketing, and the Journal of Business Ethics.

His talk will provide an overview on integrated diversity communications and especially in relation to anti-racism, at the Summit, at 11:50am (BST) on Friday 6 November.

Dr Shabbir said: “It is an honour to be included in the fantastic line-up of world-acclaimed speakers at this year’s World Marketing Summit.

“To be able to share some of my insights with a global audience on a topic of such importance, is a humbling experience.

“A special thanks must go to Professor Philip Kotler and his organising committee, for letting me share my insights on why Anti-Racism Marketing should be integral to the contemporary marketer’s DNA.”

Founded by the ‘Father of Modern Marketing’ Prof. Philip Kotler in 2010, the World Marketing Summit has been bringing together leaders around the world every year, to initiate global movements to make the world a better place through marketing.

This year, the Summit has moved to a digital platform in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is being streamed to over 100 countries.

In his role at the University, Dr Shabbir manages the Social & Not Profit Marketing and Marketing Management in Action modules.
