Study here before you study here with an Applicant Day. Explore our campus, meet your lecturers, and get a real feel for student life.

Applied to Hull? You’re invited.

You’ve applied to study with us, so what next? Applicant Days are a chance to get a real taste of what it’s like to live and study at the University of Hull, including activities specific to your subject.

We know choosing where you’ll study is a big decision, so Applicant Days are a small step towards feeling confident you’ve made exactly the right choice.

Important: Applicant Days take place between February and May and run on different dates for different subjects. Check your inbox for our booking email with the dates for your subject, then follow the instructions to confirm your place - it's that easy.

If there are no upcoming Applicant Days for your subject area, then don’t worry. Enhanced Campus Visits run between April and June and still provide you with the opportunity to take a tour of the campus and chat to an academic from your subject area. Book your Enhanced Campus Visit.

How is an Applicant Day different to an Open Day? Here’s how...

You might be thinking: “I’ve already been to an Open Day. Do I really need to go to an Applicant Day too?” Fair question. Applicant Days are all about experiencing what it will be like to study here and getting hands-on with your chosen subject. A deeper dive, if you like.

Or if you didn’t make it to an Open Day, get your first taste of what Hull has to offer. Don’t miss the free lunch and the chance to chat to current students. We know you’re going to love it.

Join an interactive taster session, meet your lecturers and explore our facilities.

For joint or combined honours degrees, you can chat to experts from your second subject or you’re welcome to book a separate Applicant Day to fully explore.

All full-time, unaccompanied first-year students are guaranteed a single-person room in University-owned, managed or directed accommodation if you apply by 31 August. Please note, there is no on-campus provision for families.
