How is an Applicant Day different to an Open Day? Here’s how...
You might be thinking: “I’ve already been to an Open Day. Do I really need to go to an Applicant Day too?” Fair question. Applicant Days are all about experiencing what it will be like to study here and getting hands-on with your chosen subject. A deeper dive, if you like.
Or if you didn’t make it to an Open Day, get your first taste of what Hull has to offer. Don’t miss the free lunch and the chance to chat to current students. We know you’re going to love it.

Get ahead by going behind the scenes of your subject
Join an interactive taster session, meet your lecturers and explore our facilities.
For joint or combined honours degrees, you can chat to experts from your second subject or you’re welcome to book a separate Applicant Day to fully explore.

Find your new home-from-home with our modern accommodation
Explore the options for guaranteed on-campus accommodation¹ – all minutes from everything you’ll need.
Want to check the bed size, whether you’ll have your own shelf in the fridge, or what the bedroom storage is like? Now’s your chance.

Get some finance knowledge in the bank by chatting to our experts
Loans. Maintenance grants. Bursaries. We’ve got you covered. Ask away – no question is a stupid question.
(FYI: You’ll be studying in the most affordable city in the UK², with the lowest rents and the cheapest pints. Smart move).

Real answers from our unreal students
What time does the library open? Is there enough kitchen storage? Do I have to turn up to every lecture? Real questions. Honest answers.
Settle in for the unfiltered take on what it’s like to live, study and relax here.

Take a tour of our beautiful 10-minute campus and see what's waiting for you

What our students say...
Don’t just take our word for it. Hear from students about why it’s worth coming to an Applicant Day.
This is your chance to fully experience university life and get an insight into how your next three years will be spent. They also offer you the chance to meet your future course mates and start forming the bonds that will last you a lifetime.Abbie Howard
