Women in Business Scholarship

The Women in Business Scholarship is an opportunity for an ambitious local applicant looking to commence undergraduate studies in a business-related subject.

About this bursary

The Women in Business Scholarship will be awarded to two local undergraduate applicants to celebrate and support aspiring businesswomen from our local community during their studies. Scholarship holders will receive up to a maximum of £2,000 per year for up to three years of studies subject to satisfactory progress.

Enterprising women looking to enter a full-time programme of study in September 2026.

How to apply

We welcome applications from applicants who have received an offer to study a full-time programme in the University of Hull Business School.

To apply, you will need to provide a short written response to questions on the application form below. Your answers will play a key part in our decision-making, so it is important that you take some time to review your answers fully before submitting your application for the scholarship.

Please apply here for degrees starting in 2026. The closing date for applications has been extended to 28 August 2026.

Please note this is a competitive scholarship, and unfortunately not all eligible applicants will be successful.

Eligibility

Applicants for this scholarship must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered:

You must be a female applicant, local to the Humber area, and looking to commence studies in September 2026.
You must be looking to commence studies on a programme offered by the University of Hull Business School (please note this does not include University of Hull Online programmes).
You must hold at least a conditional offer with the University of Hull for your preferred business-related programme of study to apply for this award.
You must have marked your preferred business-related programme of study as your firm choice on your application form by no later than the closing date for the award.
The successful applicant will be expected to write a thank you letter to the sponsor, and will be requested to take part in activities throughout the duration of their studies (this could include attending at least one evening event on campus per year to meet the donors).
