Global Programmes Summer School Bursary

The Global Programmes Summer School Bursary offers a £200 grant to eligible University of Hull undergraduate students attending an approved overseas summer school, supporting access to international academic, cultural, and language experiences.

About this award

The Global Programmes Summer School Bursary is designed to support 15 University of Hull undergraduate students in gaining international experience through approved overseas summer schools. These programmes may be academic, cultural, or language-focused, providing students with opportunities to broaden their global perspective and enhance their employability.

Funded by the University's Experiential Learning Team, the bursary offers a £200 grant to help with the costs of attending an international summer school, with additional financial support available in certain cases. This award reflects Hull’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and the promotion of global learning opportunities for all students.

How to apply

Applications for the Global Programmes Summer School Bursary are open annually from October to January 31st.

Eligible full-time undergraduate students wanting to attend an approved overseas summer school can submit an enquiry to Study Abroad via Hubble.

All applications are reviewed by the team, and bursaries are awarded based on eligibility and individual circumstances. Up to 15 students will receive a £200 grant to support the cost of their international summer school experience.
