About this course

This module provides the essential theoretical foundation needed to begin interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs) in clinical practice. You will develop a structured approach to ECG analysis and learn how to recognise and relate a range of ECG patterns to acute cardiac events and long-term cardiovascular conditions.

This module will provide you with the theoretical underpinning knowledge that is required to begin to interpret ECGs in clinical practice. You will learn how systematically interpret and relate a variety of ECGs to acute disease pathologies and a variety of long-term cardiac conditions. This module is completely online using the latest digitally enhanced teaching techniques and delivered asynchronously (in your own time) and synchronously (through online lecture sessions, workshops and tutorial support). You may be new to this way of studying and will be supported to engage with both Microsoft Teams and the University of Hull Virtual Learning Environment, Canvas.

You'll also take part in a range of learning activities, including online discussions, live sessions, case studies, quizzes and collaborative group work to help build your knowledge and prepare for assessment.
