Creative Inquiry, Communication and Playful Learning

Discover how young children express thoughts and emotions through play. This module explores creative activities that support cognitive growth, emotional development, and imaginative learning in early childhood settings.

About this course

In this module, you will explore how young children communicate their thoughts, feelings, and ideas through various forms of play. You’ll study how activities like mark-making, drawing, role play, and movement help children develop their representational language and express themselves creatively. By examining these play-based methods, you’ll gain insights into how children think imaginatively, make sense of their world, and connect emotions with ideas.

By the end of this module, you will understand the role of play in supporting children’s cognitive and emotional development. You’ll be equipped to foster environments that encourage self-expression, creative problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of how young children learn through imaginative play.
