CAARMS Clinician & Supervisor Training

This funded programme, delivered in conjunction with Health Education England, supports clinicians and supervisors to develop expertise in CAARMS and strengthen early psychosis assessment within EIP services.

About this course

Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental States Clinician and Supervisor training (CAARMS) is considered to be a useful tool to help clinicians identify those who are at risk and those who have experienced a first episode of psychosis (FEP). There is a high demand within Early Intervention for Psychosis (EIP) services for this training and the course will be aimed at increasing the number of individuals who are upskilled in being able to deliver the assessment within early intervention services.

The University of Hull has been commissioned by Health Education England to deliver the CAARMS training in 2022/23. 6 cohorts will be delivered between May 2022 and March 2023. It is anticipated that this provision will support services in need of access to CAARMS training and will complement the areas of good practice in services where robust CAARMS training is in place.
