Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship

If you progress from studying an undergraduate degree at the University of Hull to an eligible taught Masters degree in 2025/26, we'll give you a 20% discount on the cost of your tuition fees.

Studies and undergraduate degree at Hull? Take the next step with us with a postgraduate degree – as an alumnus, we'll give you a 20% discount on the cost of your tuition fees for any eligible taught Masters degree in 2025/26.

This is also available to alumni who studied for an undergraduate degree at the University of Hull in previous years and would like to return to study. Please note, this award is applicable to University of Hull courses only.

There's no need to apply – this Scholarship is applied automatically.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for the award if you have an undergraduate degree from a previous and separate programme at the University of Hull (includes ‘top-up’ degree awards and validated degrees), or if you are an exchange student wishing to continue your studies in the 2025/26 academic year. York-registered MBBS students are also eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship if they wish to continue on to an eligible University of Hull taught postgraduate course.

The award is available for University of Hull postgraduate taught Masters degree programmes, for example MA or MSc qualifications (excludes postgraduate certificates/diplomas, PGCE, pre-registration healthcare courses such as MSc Midwifery and MSc Nutrition and Dietetics, MBA, and Masters Foundation programmes).

Students undertaking research programmes are not eligible.

Hull York Medical School programmes are excluded, please see details of the Medical School’s Graduate Scholarship instead.

Other Regulations

An individual can only receive one Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship. Students who have previously received a Graduate Scholarship or Graduate Studentship will not be eligible for this award.

The Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship is payable as a discount on tuition fees and cannot be held in conjunction with any full-fee awards (scholarships/studentships). The award will be applied to fees on a pro-rata basis for programmes of study lasting longer than one academic year.

Withdrawals

If you withdraw from your studies the discount will be applied pro-rata to the fee due for the time studied.
