Summary

I have been a registered adult nurse since 2010. I started my career in acute surgery, branching out into day surgery and then plastic surgery trauma and acute medicine. After becoming a Clinical Nurse Educator, I completed my PGcert which enabled me to continue to further my teaching in practice skills. My passion is to enable students to apply theory to practice, promoting leadership skills and providing resilience training and support for them. Since joining the Faculty of Health and Science my role has allowed me to achieve this. My goal is to further develop my career in coaching and mentoring, simulation and the impact of blended learning on the students. My personal passions are reading and gardening.

I was a Clinical Nurse Educator for three years. I gained my Pg Cert in 2021. I am also a practice assessor.

I am now Clinical Nurse Tutor at the University of Hull. teaching on the BSc Adult Nursing programme, Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Nursing Associate and the Degree Apprentice in Adult Nursing programme.

I am a student personal supervisor for the BSc Adult Nursing Programme. I perform portfolio reviews for the Degree Apprentice in Adult Nursing
