Summary

Thamara has worked in a variety of educational settings for more than 25 years.

She has been a lecturer and Program Director at the University since 2014 and delivers modules for the BA Early Childhood Studies programme in Hull and in Hong Kong.

Thamara is a trained level 3 Forest School practitioner. She is currently studying towards her Doctorate in Early Childhood.

Previously, she worked with young children and families in early years settings as well as with the Educational Social Work Service in North Yorkshire where she worked closely with primary schools, nurseries, Sure Start centres and families.

Research interests

Thamara is currently researching Parental values and the impact of these values on the choices parents make for their children, this is an international study undertaken in Hong Kong
